Islamabad, September 12, 2026: The federal government has made a major change in the leadership of Islamabad Police. Captain (Retired) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry has been appointed as the new Inspector General (IG) of Islamabad Police, replacing Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. Rizvi has been transferred to the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) as its Director General.
